The letter below was sent by Anna Gudge from Ecats Bridge.
As you may know, we run a World Charity event at the end of January each year -
the first time was for the Tsunami in 2001 if you remember ! January 2012 is no
exception, and the event will run for a week, with different hands each day -
and for the first time with commentaries for each day to make it even more
enjoyable ! There is no entry fee as such - all we ask is that you collect as
much money as you can and send it to us and we will put it all together and
forward it on to UNICEF. There are no prizes, no master
points, just what we hope will be some fun bridge for all the participants
using the hands we send out, and at the end of it, some money raised for the
Charity.
You can play any day you like for the week beginning Monday 23rd January - we
have hands for the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
... all you need to do is to email me and let me know which day you want to
play and I will email you the zip file with everything you need - it will
include the commentary as well of course, and that will be posted on the
website at the end of play so that your players can download it. Then you score
just as you always do for a Simultaneous Pairs, send in the files and we will
score it across the whole field for you. Simple as that!

Do join us if you can - we would love to have your company. And what could be
better than to enjoy playing bridge and doing some good for Charity at the same
time!
