Designated Events 2004 By entering the playoffs each pair declares their availability for the 2004 designated event which is the World Bridge Federation Seniors Cup to be held in Istanbul Turkey 24th to 30th October 2004.

The ABF reserves the right to withdraw a designated event if in its sole discretion it believes that security issues associated with the venue for a designated event warrant such a withdrawal. The ABF declares its intention to be guided but not exclusively bound to travel advisory warnings issued by the Australian Government in the exercise of this discretion.

In the event that the ABF withdraws a designated event, it is accepted that it will not necessarily offer a substitute event.

If the ABF indicates its intention to withdraw a designated event on these grounds but the players decide to attend the event regardless but without subsidy. The players will be ratified as the Australian team and will be required to release the ABF from any liability that might arise out of such a decision.
