2007 World
Wide Bridge Contest

Letter from Anna Gudge is below:
The 2007 World Wide Bridge Contest – the
21st Edition!
It is that time of the year again, when we need to start thinking
about the World Wide Bridge Contest – and I am hoping that you will help
me to make it even bigger and better than it was last year!
The 2007 Contest will be held on Friday
1st and Saturday 2nd June and
I do hope you will encourage as many clubs in your country as possible
to join us for this exciting tournament.
The entry fee is still the same – it is just US$3.00 per player, or
for those in Europe it will be 2.50 Euro. That is, if I mail you the
booklets and travellers. However, if you take them by email – they will
be in Acrobat format – then I can reduce the entry fee to US$2.00 or
1.65 Euro per player.
The entry fees are payable after the event, and we can easily make
arrangements for payment by credit card or Paypal if you prefer – that
would have to be in British Pounds, but we can check the currency
conversion from dollars at the time if you want to do that.
If a lot of clubs in your country are playing I would prefer to be
able to send the packs to a central point – the NBO offices – if
possible, but if necessary I will send to the individual clubs.
I have all the booklets here now, just waiting to be sent out, and
the sooner I can send them the happier I will be as it means I can stop
tripping over them!
If you can send me the email addresses for your bridge clubs I am
happy to email them directly if it makes it easier for you – or you can
forward this on if you prefer – whatever is best for you. But please
help me to make the event really successful with lots of players from
all over the world! I am sure they would enjoy it. And we would love to
have their company! The information about the event, how to run a heat,
how to enter etc is all on the website – just go to www.ecatsbridge.com
and you will see the link.
I look forward to hearing from you or your clubs in due course.
With best regards
Anna
