The Way Forward
Many of you have expressed concern about the way in which the Playoffs have been organised and conducted over the past 12 months (and perhaps even longer). The ABF are keen to receive constructive
criticism about these major events in the ABF calendar.
If you would like to voice your opinion, then please feel free to do so
by entering comments below and submitting the form or by sending an email
to the Chairperson of the Player Liaison Committee, Dianne Marler. Her
email address is: dianne.marler@santos.com.
Rather than just being critical, how about providing a solution to what
you perceive as the problems that have been encountered recently. Whilst
the members of the ABF Management Committee and Tournament Committee have
extensive experience in setting tournament rules and regulations, they
acknowledge that things could be done better with your help. Please
comment on any or all of the following:-
- The PQP system
- Entry restrictions (closing date/information to
accompany entry)
- The Playoffs – where they are held
- The Playoff subsidies
- Team 6 from the Last Train Event at the Summer
Festival of Bridge
- Training of individual teams
- The events in which teams play representing Australia
Responses will be held in the strictest of confidence, so get the keys
on your keyboard tapping and have your say.
A consolidation of all responses will be placed on the ABF Web Site for
general review. The ABF have committed to keeping everyone appraised of
future amendments to the current regulations.
