How did you discover Bridge? When did you first start playing?
I first started playing bridge many years ago at university but didn’t continue to play. I did the beginners’ course nine years ago when I retired.
Why did you decide to become a Bridge Teacher?
I had been a teacher in my professional life and felt that I could bring my skills to teaching bridge. Being relatively new to bridge I felt that I could empathise with new learners.
What do you enjoy most about playing/teaching Bridge?
I love seeing the progression of the new players, to see them enjoying learning something new and putting it into practice. I also think that the social aspect of playing bridge is very important.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I have a strong connection to Japan as I am half Japanese.
