Ballina Bridge Club, Northern Rivers NSW
Card players all our lives, my husband and I went to bridge lessons on Cunard’s “Queen Victoria” in 2008 and just loved the game.
Coming home, we looked to continue our bridge experience and found our local club offered lessons so we started that year.
Ballina has had a strong and successful teaching program for well over 20 years. I had so much fun in the lessons, and the Club was welcoming, we joined and have been playing about four times a week since!
I was lucky to have two teaching mentors in Lyn Graham and Anne Bigg. Loving the game makes it easy to want to open it up to others. To see them go from desperation to enjoyment is beautiful! A club that has a solid teaching program is a healthy club and I am proud to be part of that.
My other sport is golf, so a perfect coupling of a sport for good weather and bad weather.
