Victor Muntz

Victor Muntz passed away peacefully on Friday September 7. He was 92.

Victor was extremely well known in Victoria as a fine bridge player and mentor. He was the State’s Masterpoint Secretary for many years which he did on a voluntary basis, before he passed this responsibility onto to Sue Kelso in 2000.

Victor’s achievements were many:

He won the Victorian Pennant Teams in 1974, 1978, 1981, 1983, 1989, 1992 and 1993.
He won the Victorian Simultaneous Pairs in 1991 and 1995.
He won the Victorian Mixed Pairs in 1994.
He played on the Victorian Senior Teams at the ANC in 1996 (Won); 1997 (won), 1998 (2nd), 1999 (Won); 2002, 2003, 2004 (Won) and 2005.
He played on the Victorian Open Teams at the ANC in 1972, 1973, 1974, 1981, 1983, 1992, 1992 and 1995.

His wife Jane (dec) was also a bridge player and together they were great company. Kitty continues to play bridge and often played with her father.
