Jodi Tutty

How did you get started in bridge? At what age? Who from?

I started playing family bridge as a 10 year old and have been hooked ever since. During my working life, bridge was a hobby through which I met many of my lifelong friends.  In the last 10 years I started to play more competitively.

I love the never ending challenge of trying to improve even though it can be incredibly frustrating at times!

What do (did) you do professionally?

I started off as a software developer and ended up lecturing Information Technology at university.

Who is your partner and for how long? Longest partnership?

My current partner is David Beauchamp and we have been playing together since 2018. David and his wife Anita have been good friends of mine for 40 years.

My first serious partner was Marianne Bookallil and together we both made our first Australian Women’s team in 2017 which was a real buzz. We don’t play bridge together so much any longer but we do go walking which is probably better for our health!
