The 15th World Bridge Series will be held in Sanya, Hainan, China from 10th to 25th October 2014 hosted by the Chinese Contract Bridge Association in cooperation with Sanya City and Beijing Lianzhong Co., Ltd.
The 15th World Youth Teams Championship will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, hosted by the prestigious Koç University from 13th to 23rd August 2014.
In preparation for their participation in the Bermuda Bowl and the d’Orsi Seniors Trophy in Bali in September the Australian Open team is practising against the Australian Seniors team this evening, Sunday night at 7.30pm AEST on BBO.
It is not usual for events to be named after players who are still competing at the top level. The Victor Champion Cup (which began in 1953 as a round robin of all teams eliminated before the finals of the Open and Women’s Interstate Teams) was an exception.
