Following a call for expressions of interest, the Australian Under 21 Youth Team for 2025 has been determined.
The 54th Asia Pacific Bridge Federation (APBF) Championships will be held in Hefei, China, from May 17–25, 2025. Top players from across the region will compete in Open, Women’s, Mixed, and Senior teams. It’s a great opportunity for Australian fans to support our national teams and celebrate the skill and spirit of bridge. Stay tuned for updates!
Australia’s 2025 bridge teams are confirmed, with Sophie Ashton making history as the first woman in nearly 20 years to join the Open Team. Sophie’s inspiring path led to a 2025 Playoff win and a place at the APBF and World Championships alongside teammates Wiltshire, Markey, Haffer, Milne, and Coutts.
The World Bridge Championships are the pinnacle of competitive bridge, bringing together the best players from across the globe to compete at the highest level. Organised by the World Bridge Federation (WBF), this prestigious event has been held every two years since 1950 and showcases the incredible strategic depth, teamwork, and mental agility required to succeed in bridge.
