How did you get started in Bridge? At what age? Who do you learn from?
I started to learn bridge when I was about 9 years old. There was a youth bridge club close to our home in Shanghai, China and they were starting lessons for beginners so my mum thought I could give it a go.
What do (did) you do professionally?
I’m a year 6 student.
Who is your partner and for how long? Longest Partnership?
My current partner is Genevieve and we’ve been playing together for 1 year now.
In your playing career, what is the bridge success that has the most meaning for you?
Getting in the Australia U16 team this year.
And your worst moment in bridge?
When I first went to the club in Shanghai, China most of my classmates already knew each other and I was the only one who doesn’t have a partner.
What do you do between sessions to put you in the best frame of mind for the following sessions?
I like to have a rest and talk about anything but bridge.
Do you have a favourite and least favourite convention?
My favourite convention is probably Simple Stayman. I don’t have a least favourite yet.
Would you prefer to have more system or less?
Definitely less.
What do you to do to improve your game?
Read books and play more bridge.

What interests or hobbies do you have besides bridge?
Swimming, athletics, riding (although I don’t have a bike at the moment), oztag (at school), softball (at school).
What is the number one thing that bridge has done for you as a person and for your life?
Getting to know more people.
