Sean Mullamphy passed away unexpectedly Wednesday 18 June 2025.

Sean was one of the ABF’s chief tournament directors for several years as well as directing at World Bridge Federation events.  He was also involved in managing bridge clubs and was the tournament organiser of the ABF’s Summer Festival for many years.  His directing career came to an abrupt halt in 2016 when he suffered a stroke and then undertook a lengthy rehabilitation process.

His love for bridge never waned and despite challenges communicating he returned to playing and represented the ACT several times in their ANC Seniors Team.
