Autumn Nationals History

The Autumn Nationals was first held in Adelaide in 1993 following an agreement with Victoria that the two states would “share” a national event on a rotation basis. The VCC was held the previous year. Both events proved so popular that the Autumn Nationals became an annual event from 1994. It has been held at various venues, with the SABA clubrooms hosting it for many years. It has recently relocated to the AEEC (Wayville Showgrounds) where the superior facilities and playing area have proved popular. Although Autumn in Adelaide can be changeable, inclement weather is the exception rather than the norm around the time of this event. We strongly recommend that if you have not played in it, you should give it a try.
