Request for Expressions of Interest – Online Lessons

The Australian Bridge Federation (ABF) seeks expressions of interest from persons to provide a series of online lessons to Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced skill level players. These lessons are to be designed to attract new players to Bridge and a source of ongoing players development and retention as a principal tool of support for players and clubs. Our goal is to attract and retain players at ABF State Affiliated Clubs.

Terms

  1. Initial appointment term: 3 years
  2. A payment will be made on terms to be negotiated for licence of intellectual property of course material by the ABF
  3. Course attendance will be at a fee payable by the individual player with Revenue to be shared (say) 70% to provider and 30% ABF
  4. All participants must be registered with the ABF Masterpoints Centre and a member of an ABF State affiliated club
  5. Clubs will receive a full rebate of the players participating in beginners lesson annual ABF Capitation fee
  6. Full marketing support will be provided by the ABF
  7. Submission must provide players with a statement of satisfactory completion of beginner’s courses
  8. Submission must provide an “In club” extension guide for all beginners to facilitate ongoing in club learning
  9. Beginners’ lessons to commence latest 1 March 2022
  10. Intermediate lessons to commence latest 1 September 2022
  11. Advanced lessons to commence latest 1 September 2022
  12. ABF will reimburse all reasonable out of pockets costs (not developers time) associated with course development.

Submissions should include

  1. A detailed outline of the scope of programme for all three levels Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
  2. Tenderers are not required to tender for all three levels
  3. An indication of optimum number of course participants at any one session.
  4. Technology platform on which the program will be delivered and terms and conditions of service provider
  5. Individuals and credentials of person (s) who will be providing the lessons
  6. Confirmation that full documentation of courses will be provided to and licensed by the ABF from the time the courses are launched
  7. Expected course attendance costs
