Shaping the Future of Australia’s Representative Bridge
During the recent Australian National Championships, the ABF presented its plans to strengthen international performance and create a clearer pathway for players who aspire to represent Australia.
Two presentations were delivered for different parts of our bridge community:
For grassroots players
Find out why international performance matters to the wider Australian bridge community and how stronger national teams can benefit and inspire players at every level.

For representative and aspiring representative players
Explore the proposed pathway, support structures and opportunities intended to help Australian players prepare for and succeed in international competition.
We want to hear from you
These plans will be strengthened by the experience and ideas of the Australian bridge community. After viewing the presentations, please let us know what you support, what concerns you and what else you believe should be considered.
What should our Australian teams be called?
We are also inviting ideas for a distinctive team identity that our players and supporters can embrace. The competition was announced last week, but there is still time to contribute your suggestion.
