3 ABF Positions to be filled

Three positions are available.  Applicants can apply for any or all of the positions.  Expressions of Interest should be sent to abf_secretary@live.com.au by 20 February 2016.

Background

As part of the recent review of the ABF Strategic Plan, the management committee is seeking to fill three positions to help achieve our objectives. These positions are:

  1. Media spokesperson
  2. Journalist; and
  3. Government relations officer.

Having a well-informed, articulate spokesperson available to talk to the media would assist the organization in realizing its mission.  A spokesperson would represent and advocate for the ABF’s position, even when this may conflict with their own opinion.

The ABF also needs to appoint a suitably qualified person to craft and submit media releases to a variety of media outlets. A journalist would gather, assess, create and present news and information on behalf of the ABF.

An ABF Government relations officer would be responsible for liaising with relevant Commonwealth Government Agencies in regard to specific strategies or initiatives outlined in the ABF Strategic Plan or for important issues which may arise from time to time.

Please address the relevant selection criteria when submitting an Expression of Interest.
